If you want to create your own version of the installer for your new product, we have a script which will be able to create the installer file for you. For those of you who don't want to go through the hassle of creating your own installer. This invention relates to an improvement in an apparatus for carrying out an electrophotographic copying process, and more particularly, to an electrophotographic copying apparatus with an improved developer vessel.
In the general electrophotographic copying process as disclosed for example in U.S. Pat. No. 2,297,691, a two component type electrophotographic copying process is employed in which a photoreceptor having a photoconductive layer is uniformly charged and then imagewise exposed to form an electrostatic latent image. The latent image is then developed with a developer of the magnetic toner or magnetic carrier type. The toner image is transferred to a transfer medium, e.g. transfer paper, and the transferred toner image is fixed on the transfer medium by means of a heat fixing process. The residual toner particles are collected by a cleaning device. The residual developer material (i.e., the toner particles and the carrier particles) remaining on the photoreceptor after image transfer is returned to the developer vessel for reuse. The toner is recovered from the residual developer in the developer vessel and, through the application of an appropriate electric charge, is returned to the developing zone. It is generally preferred to use a developer material of the two component type because of the toner saving effect.
However, in the two component type developer material, there is a disadvantage in that, even after the toner material has been sufficiently charged with the application of the appropriate electric charge, the toner material tends to leak from the developer vessel, resulting in a loss of material. A number of proposals have been made for preventing such a developer material leakage.
For example, in the developer vessel disclosed in U.S. Pat. No. 3,982,912, the developer vessel is surrounded by a bag like flexible material. When the developer material in the vessel is under a predetermined charge, the flexible material is punctured by pressing the bottom of the developer vessel so that the air therein expands and forms a space between the developer vessel and the flexible material. The air in the space becomes charged so that the developer material does not leak.
Further, in the developer vessel disclosed in U.S. Pat. No. 3,850,048,
